Flebogrif – modern varicose vein treatment

Spider veins are usually treated with sclerotherapy – under ultrasound guidance, a solution in liquid or foam form is introduced into the vessel lumen, causing it to close. One of the most advanced methods of varicose vein treatment available to Wilmed clinic patients is the Flebogrif procedure – performed under ultrasound guidance with local anesthesia by inserting a specialized Flebogrif catheter into the vein. It is equipped with cutting elements that damage the inner walls of the vein. Simultaneously, a pharmacological agent is administered through the catheter to induce fibrosis of the vessel. This leads to vein closure and subsequent absorption by the body.

Flebogrif is a safe, minimally invasive, and highly effective procedure. No surgical incisions are made, and it leaves no scars or bruises. The entire procedure lasts about 30 minutes, and after completion, the patient can return to normal activities. The treatment provides very good, long-lasting aesthetic results and eliminates the risk of ulcer development.
