What is the HyProCure method?

HyProCure is a modern, minimally invasive method for correcting flat valgus foot, based on placing a special titanium implant in the sinus tarsi.

The implant acts as a „stabilizing wedge” that restores the natural position of the talus bone relative to the calcaneus. It does not require cutting bones or interfering with muscles and tendons, making the procedure exceptionally gentle and the results immediate.

Joint stabilization occurs naturally and harmoniously: the implant does not restrict mobility but allows its proper range. This enables the patient to regain a stable, springy gait, and overloads in the upper body gradually decrease.

The procedure lasts about 20–30 minutes and is characterized by predictable, stable outcomes.

What are the indications for the HyProCure procedure?

HyProCure is recommended for patients whose flat-valgus deformity causes pain, movement limitations, or recurrent inflammations. The indication applies both to deformities fixed in childhood and those developed in adulthood.

In children, the procedure is recommended when:

  • the foot valgus persists after 6–7 years of age,
  • the child tires more quickly than peers,
  • leg pain or coordination problems appear,
  • insoles and exercises do not bring improvement,
  • the deformity begins to affect posture or walking pattern.

The procedure may help adults who:

  • experience chronic pain in feet, knees, or back,
  • pronation limits activity,
  • overloads recur despite conservative treatment,
  • progressive deformities are noticeable,
  • sports or daily activities cause discomfort.

This is a safe method for both adults and young patients whose deformity does not self-correct.

Benefits for the patient from surgical treatment of flatfoot-valgus using the HyProCure method

HyProCure flatfoot-valgus treatment procedures performed by experienced specialists provide patients with the following benefits:

1
Minimally invasive

Thanks to the HyProCure method, the procedure does not require bone cutting, does not damage muscles or tendons, making it less burdensome than traditional surgeries. The correction effect is visible during the procedure.

2
Allows children a safe return to running, sports, and full activity

The procedure stops the progression of the deformity, supports the formation of a proper foot arch, and improves stability and gait quality, which also enhances movement and posture.

3
Improved stability and safety of sports activities in adults

The procedure results in a lasting improvement of foot alignment, restoration of natural shock absorption, and relief of knees, hips, and spine.

4
Reduction of pain and overloads

Thanks to the implant, symptoms in knees, hips, and spine are reduced, providing greater comfort when walking and running.

5
Quick return home

The minimally invasive nature of the procedure allows for a quick return home on the same day.

6
Rapid recovery

minimally invasive procedure with limited soft tissue damage, which shortens the time to return to activity.

What does the HyProCure procedure involve?

The minimally invasive treatment of flat valgus foot using the HyProCure method is performed according to the following plan:

1. Consultation and diagnostics
During the visit, the doctor assesses the foot structure, analyzes the loading pattern and the range of pronation. Imaging tests (e.g., X-rays) are also performed to help select the appropriate implant size and plan the correction.

2. Preparation for the procedure
The procedure is most often performed under local anesthesia. The patient remains conscious but does not feel pain.

3. Implant insertion
Through a small incision on the lateral side of the foot, the doctor inserts the HyProCure implant into the sinus tarsi. The correction of alignment is visible immediately after stabilization.

4. Completion of the procedure
The incision is closed with several stitches, and the patient receives a special dressing. Immobilization in a cast is not required.

5. Return to activity
In most cases, walking is possible on the same or next day, with minor limitations during the first few days.

What is flat valgus foot?

Flat valgus foot (excessive pronation) is a disorder in which the longitudinal arch of the foot lowers, and the heel is positioned abnormally inward.

Such abnormal biomechanics cause the foot to fail in its natural shock-absorbing function, which over time generates overloads throughout the bone-joint chain.

In children, the deformity often worsens during periods of rapid growth. The foot arch may not develop properly, resulting in:

  • rapid fatigue while walking,
  • reluctance to physical activity,
  • knock-knees and posture disorders,
  • foot or calf pain,
  • risk of further progression of the deformity.

If the problem persists despite rehabilitation and insoles, it is worth considering an intervention that corrects the alignment at its source.

In adults, long-standing, established pronation can cause:

  • chronic pain in the feet, knees, hips, and spine,
  • overloads, inflammations, recurrent injuries,
  • progression of deformities and worsening stability,
  • limitations in professional and sports activities.

When insoles, rehabilitation, and physiotherapy are no longer sufficient, it is worth considering a solution that addresses the root of the problem – ankle joint stabilization using the HyProCure method.

FAQ

Is the implant palpable?
No. After healing, patients do not feel any foreign body – the implant works together with the natural joint mechanics.
Is the procedure safe for children?
Yes. HyProCure is one of the most predictable and least burdensome methods for correcting flat valgus foot in young patients.
From what age can HyProCure be performed?
Usually from about 6–7 years of age — after assessing the degree of deformity and foot flexibility.
Can the implant be removed?
Yes, if necessary, it can be removed in both adults and children, although this is rare.
Can both feet be operated on simultaneously?
It depends on the indications. A staged procedure is often recommended to ensure comfort while moving during healing.
Is the procedure painful?
Thanks to local anesthesia, no pain is felt. After the procedure, minor discomfort may occur, which subsides quickly. Regular exercises recommended by a specialist help to regain full comfort and improve the walking pattern faster.
What is the recovery like after the procedure?
One of the greatest advantages of HyProCure is a quick return to normal functioning. Most patients walk independently within the first day. Swelling and tenderness may persist for several days but do not constitute a significant limitation.
