What does the procedure look like?

Lip Lift is performed under local anesthesia and lasts about 40 minutes. The surgeon makes an incision under the nose, then removes excess skin, naturally shaping the lips and lifting them upwards to make them larger. Very fine sutures are placed in the natural skin fold under the nose. This makes the small scar resulting from the procedure easy to conceal with makeup.

After the procedure, a dressing is applied under the nose and the patient can go home after an hour. Full recovery takes one week. It is important to limit facial expressions, including laughing. A liquid diet is recommended for the first 2-3 days, avoiding biting hard foods. After 7 days, the patient should return for suture removal. It is extremely important to follow the doctor’s instructions regarding scar care to ensure proper healing.

After the Lip Lift procedure, as with any surgical procedure, a delicate scar remains, which in this case is located in a less visible place – in the natural skin fold under the nose. Therefore, it can be concealed with makeup. At the same time, it should be remembered that scar appearance is influenced by genetics, so healing depends on the individual predispositions of the body.
