Last moment to remove skin lesions before summer
The weather outside reminds us that sunny summer is getting closer, during which everyone gladly wears clothes revealing certain parts of the body. This is the last moment to undergo cosmetic removal of skin lesions in anticipation of the holidays – this procedure can be performed at our Wilmed clinic in Warsaw!
Skin lesions can appear in anyone, regardless of gender or age. Among the most commonly diagnosed skin lesions are: warts, fibromas (usually developing as a result of mechanical damage or inflammation of the hair follicle), hemangiomas (related to the proliferation of blood vessel wall cells), and pigmented nevi (associated with disorders in melanin production, the natural skin pigment).
Pigmented lesions usually appear on the back, calves, chest, neck, and head. If you notice a new lesion or an existing one grows, starts to hurt, itch, or bleed, you should promptly visit Wilmed for a videodermatoscopic skin examination. Using a special device, the doctor can closely examine the lesion and decide on the treatment method.
In most cases, skin lesions are only an aesthetic defect – especially if located in sensitive body areas: on the face, eyelids, neck, or décolletage. If they are large, raised, and protruding, they may be irritated by footwear and clothing, causing pain or bleeding.
Cosmetic removal of skin lesions at Wilmed clinic
Skin lesions that are an aesthetic defect such as fibromas, hemangiomas, or various types of warts can be removed at our clinic under local anesthesia using the electrocoagulation method, which employs high-frequency electric current. Electrocoagulation provides excellent cosmetic results, leaves no scars, and does not require the patient to limit normal activities. The procedure is always performed by experienced specialists, ensuring safety, effectiveness for the patient, and very good cosmetic outcomes.
Removal of skin cancerous lesions
If a lesion is suspected to be cancerous, it can be surgically removed at Wilmed. Such procedures involve excising the lesion along with a margin of healthy tissue and conducting histopathological examination. This examination aims to check whether cancer cells were present in the lesion. Prophylactic removal of such lesions does not carry a risk of cancerous transformation. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, is minimally invasive, painless, and thanks to the experience of our specialists, also achieves very good cosmetic results.
It is worth remembering that areas after removal of any skin lesions heal better if not exposed to sunlight – therefore, it is advisable to perform the procedure before summer arrives.
Skin lesions can be managed – quickly, non-invasively, with good aesthetic effect. We encourage you to take advantage of the offer of our Wilmed clinic -> https://en.wilmed.pl/contact/
