Eyelid, nose, and ear correction – procedures not only aesthetic
Until recently, individuals struggling with insecurities related to protruding ears or a nose disproportionately large compared to the rest of the face were resigned to accepting imperfections in their appearance or to low self-esteem throughout their lives. Fortunately, advances in plastic surgery have made it easy to correct these defects. Procedures for correcting ear auricles, nose, or drooping eyelids are offered at the Wilmed medical clinic.
Drooping eyelids, resulting from the natural aging process, can take away a fresh and youthful appearance from the face. Protruding ear auricles, sometimes not even concealable under a hairstyle, are a common source of insecurity. A nose that is too large or crooked can disrupt facial proportions and negatively affect its aesthetics. Fortunately, these imperfections can be quickly corrected – at Wilmed clinic, we offer patients effective and safe correction procedures for such defects, performed by specialized plastic surgeons.
Eyelid correction – for a younger appearance
Eyelid correction is a procedure that removes the tired and aged appearance of the eyes caused by excess loose and non-firm eyelid skin. Contrary to appearances, the procedure does not leave visible scars – incisions are made just below the lash line, allowing them to be hidden in natural skin folds. It can also be combined with other facial aesthetic procedures, such as a facelift or fat grafting. Eyelid correction results in firmer, smoother skin around the eyes, restoring a youthful and radiant gaze.
Nose correction – what does it involve?
Nose correction – depending on the patient’s expectations and individual condition – can vary in scope. Sometimes it involves only reshaping the cartilage tissue; in other cases, it may require intervention in the bone tissue. Surgeons at Wilmed medical clinic can transform the nose almost beyond recognition: shortening it, reducing its size, straightening it, removing a hump, or correcting the tip’s appearance. However, due to the exceptional sensitivity of this area, nose correction is usually performed under general anesthesia, requiring detailed preparation from the patient, including an ECG and laboratory tests. Recovery is also important and may last several weeks. During this time, the nose must be protected from potential injuries.
Ear correction
Protruding ears are a very common cause of insecurity and low self-esteem in many people, regardless of gender or age. Ear auricle surgery is a procedure that can be performed under local anesthesia in adults. Of course, basic tests are also required before this procedure. It involves making an incision on the side of the head and shaping the auricle as desired. Scars from sutures are hidden on the inner side of the ear, so they do not affect appearance. After suture and dressing removal (about 7 days later), a special protective band must be worn for about a month.
Procedures not only aesthetic
It should be remembered that correction of ears, nose, or eyelids can be performed not only for aesthetic reasons but also for health reasons. Drooping eyelids can limit the field of vision and significantly hinder normal daily activities. A crooked or overly large nose can cause breathing difficulties, frequent colds, or snoring. Surgical intervention is also necessary for ear deformities resulting from injuries, accidents, or burns. Therefore, such procedures are no longer considered mere vanity.
