We perform rectoscopic examinations
As part of colorectal cancer prevention and other diseases of the anus and rectum, we perform rectoscopic and anoscopic examinations.
An anoscopic examination involves inserting an appropriate speculum through the anus, followed by inspection of the anal canal. If any pathological changes are revealed, it is then possible to take biopsies for histopathological examination. Before the examination, the instrument is coated with a local anesthetic agent.
A rectoscopic examination involves inserting an appropriate speculum through the anus, followed by inspection of the anal canal and the intestinal wall over a section of approximately 15 – 20 cm. If any pathological changes are revealed, it is then possible to take biopsies for histopathological examination. Before the examination, the instrument is coated with a local anesthetic agent.
